Omar is a native San Antonian and executive of the Oxbow development team that plans and builds mixed-use urban real estate by giving soul to place. His current projects are in the San Antonio are and include multifamily, commercial – mostly food & beverage and neighborhood retail, hospitality, and structured parking garages. Omar has over twenty years of experience in real estate and economic development.

From 2011-2021, he led Hemisfair’s redevelopment of a former World’s Fair site in downtown San Antonio into community gathering places. He received his Bachelor in Economics from the Wharton School at University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Stanford University.

Omar also served as ULI-San Antonio Chapter Chair from 2020-2022 and is a member of the National District Council for Mixed-Used Urban Development. He is married with two kids and recently finished rehabbing a 1905-vintage house in Southtown San Antonio.
